Valley Clover 4H Meeting Minutes
July 7, 2021
The Valley Clovers 4-H Club has met for regular monthly meetings every month this spring. In April we had a guest speaker come in and talk about feed nutrition, and why proper nutrition is so important for our 4-H animals. Also in April, members from our club went to a Beef Jackpot Show in Great Falls, and had a successful show. Those members were Morgan Friede, Wylee Simenson, and Wacee Simenson. May was full of spring sports and school activities, but the club managed to squeeze in our yearly fundraiser, which was selling Butter Braids. Money from the fundraiser is used for club activities, and to help in the community where it's needed. The club is still discussing where our summer trip will be, and when. Some ideas included swimming at the water slides in Great Falls, and visiting the CHS Plant there as well. The club plans to also clean the highway from south of town, out to the dump for community service. Workshops are starting for the summer as well, so the club members will be participating in horse workshops, beef, and lamb workshops, to practice on those showmanship skills. We also will be discussing more ideas for community service, and where some extra help may be needed around town. The club is looking forward to getting ready for fair, and finishing demonstrations over the summer. Next Meeting will be July 11th 1:00 at Walner Hall.
