Shorthanded Wildcats fall to Rocky Boy 90-58

December 29, 2021

Wildcat senior Teagan LeValdo lets one fly from beyond the arc Wednesday evening against Rocky Boy. LeValdo score 11 points in the non-conference clash with the Stars.

The Harlem Wildcats have had a bumpy start to the 2021-22 season. Injuries have plagued the team since the very beginning allowing the Wildcats to take the court with their full roster just once this season.

The Wildcats have struggled on the court with their regular starting unit in disarray. That doesn't mean they haven't been fun to watch along the way.

Harlem hosted the Rocky Boy Stars in their final contest of 2021 last Wednesday. The Stars were ready to run when they took the court and Harlem was willing to run with them.

The Wildcats lack of depth limited the teams success as Rocky Boy jumped out to an early lead and continued to build on it throughout the contest.

The Stars used a early 27-8 run to take control of the contest and never looked back in handing the Wildcats a 90-58 setback.

Senior RJ Ramone continued his hot start to the season, leading the Wildcat attack with 28 points in the contest. Senior Teagan LeValdo added 11 markers on the night and junior Marley Stewart scored 10.

The Wildcats will use the holiday break to get healthy and will return to the court in the new year on Friday, January 7 when they will host the Chinook Sugarbeeters in a non-conference clash.

The team will jump back into their conference schedule the following night when they head to Wolf Point to take on the Wolves in District 2B action.
