'Beeters, Wildcats and Lady Thunderbirds take a Trip Around the Course

Chinook senior Braden Eoff tee's off while playing his round Saturday at the Anaconda Hills Golf Course in Great Falls. Eoff finished tied for ninth on the day with a round of 97.

The High School Golf season is in full swing, and boys and girls teams from Chinook and Harlem, as well as the Hays Lodge Pole Lady Thunderbirds, have already played a round or two on the links.

The Harlem boys varsity golf team took home first place at the Box Elder Invitational, March 30. The Invitational took place at the Beaver Creek Golf Club in Havre. Wildcat team members include (L-R): Terrance Messerly, Stanley Spangelo, Chantry Jorgenson, RJ Ramone, and Titan Brockie.

The Lady Thunderbirds made history this past Wednesday when they teed it up at the Box Elder Invitational. The tournament was held at the Beaver Creek Golf Course in Havre and provided the kids with a nice comfortable introduction to the game of golf. The Lady Thunderbirds took first for the girls as did the Harlem boys. Harlem senior RJ Ramone finished second in the Individual race with a round of 100. Chinook sophomore Hallie Kralich won the girls tournament with a round of 107. The Lady Thunderbirds making history were Shaunte Hawley, Aubrey Chandler, Logan Little Plume and Destiny Webb. Wildcat team members for the boys also included seniors Stanley Spangelo and Titan Brockie.

Saturday the Chinook Sugarbeeters took a small contingent to Great Falls to play in a tournament at the Anaconda Hills Golf Course. Senior Braden Eoff led the way for the Sugarbeeters with a round of 97. Junior Ryan Meneely recorded a round of 109 while junior Daniel MacLeod posted a 121. Freshman Kohen Sullivan shot a 18 hole score of 117.
