Blaine County Library

April 13, 2022

Thank you to everyone who stopped in to “Connect with Your Library” during National Library Week. Winners of the drawings were Donna Miller, Balen Adair and Landon Minnis. Congratulations to the lucky winners. We would like to send a shout out to the Chinook teachers and The Hoffman family for their generous donations to the library in celebration of National Library Week! It’s great to know that what we do is appreciated by the community. We had a nice turnout for the Triangle class on streaming. We hope everyone who attended got all the answers they were looking for! Stay tuned for the next class.

We won’t have LEGO/STEAM Club this week, due to scheduling conflicts, but we’ll see everyone next Thursday!

“A Novel Obsession” by Caitlin Barasch is an irresistible catastrophe waiting to happen and an unflinching exploration of how we narrate the stories of our lives, as an aspiring novelist finds herself stalking—and writing about—her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend. Alice Vega and Max Caplan return, uncovering a network of white supremacists in their search for a long-lost counter-culture hero in “Hideout” by Louisa Luna. “The Wedding Veil” by Kristy Woodson Harvey is a novel following four women across generations, bound by a beautiful wedding veil and a connection to the famous Vanderbilt family. “Sea of Tranquility” by Emily St. John Mandel is a novel of art, time, love, and plague that takes the reader from Vancouver Island in 1912 to a dark colony on the moon five hundred years later, unfurling a story of humanity across centuries and space. “The Younger Wife” by Sally Hepworth is a novel of domestic suspense about the tangled vines of family secrets. From America’s most beloved superstar, Dolly Parton and its greatest storyteller, James Patterson is “Run, Rose, Run” a thriller about a young singer-songwriter on the rise and on the run, and determined to do whatever it takes to survive.

We have a large selection of hard back and paperback books, fiction and non-fiction, adult, YA, and juvenile, as well as DVDs and audiobooks for sale. Fill a bag with as many used books as you can for $3.00.

The book display for April is gardening books to help inspire us as we prepare for Spring and Summer.
