The Book Challenge for June is to read a book that features water.

Mary Kay Andrews is the author of “The Homewreckers.” Hattie Kavanaugh went to work for Kavanaugh & Son Restorations and married the boss’s son. When she became a widow she continues to follow her passion to restore homes. When a Hollywood producer shows up in Savannah she gets a chance to star in a beach house renovation reality show. During the demolition evidence is found that points to the mysterious disappearance of a young wife and mother.

“Every Cloak Rolled in Blood” is by James Lee Burke. Novelist Aaron Holland tries to honor the memory of his deceased daughter by saving two young men from a life of crime. He is drawn into a network of violent Klansmen, a far-from-holy minister, a biker club and a murderer hiding in plain sight.

The new Sandra Dallas novel is Little Souls. In Colorado in 1918 the Spanish flu epidemic is raging. Lutie Hite and her sister, Helen, have been trying to go on with their lives. One day Lutie comes home to find a dead man on the floor and Helen standing over him with a knife.

“An Honest Lie” is written by Tarryn Fisher. Tiger Mountain is the sanctuary Lorrain “Rainy” needs to hide from her disturbing past. On a girls’ weekend in Vegas her friend Braithe doesn’t come back to the hotel. Then the text messages arrive sent from Braithe’s phone. But Rainy is who they really want.

Other new selections include “The Emerald Tide” by Davis Bunn, “Hope Creek” by Janet Dailey, and “Summer Love” by Nancy Thayer.
