Bear Paw Roundup PRCA Rodeo Coming Later This Month

Presented by Moxley Construction Incorporated, the Bear Paw Roundup PRCA Rodeo is scheduled for August 11-12. The Bear Paw Roundup Rodeo committee invites everyone to join them "for a top-notch PRCA rodeo on the Hi-Line!" The annual Bear Paw Roundup will be in Chinook at the Blaine County Fairgrounds with performances starting at 7:00 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday nights.
Special events back by popular demand include Mutton Bustin' on both nights. In other featured entertainment, Monkey on a Rope will take place on Thursday, while the Outhouse Race will be a Friday night highlight.
Many people commented about the Outhouse Race as missing last year, so event organizers declared, "We're bringing it back this year on Friday night, August 12! Get yourself and a friend entered up in the Outhouse Race by calling or texting Dennis Cross at 406-262-4575."
Cross is the contact person not only for the Outhouse Race but for all special event entries, including Mutton Bustin', Ranch Bronc Riding, and Monkey on a Rope. Contestants interested in any of these events are encouraged to call Cross for a place on the list of entrants.
Brookman Rodeo will again be providing the stock for the rodeo, and Denny Halstead will be back as the rodeo clown. Halstead is a seven-time Canadian Pro Rodeo Entertainer of the Year, a two-time Canadian Finals Rodeo Clown/Barrel Man, and a three-time Dodge Ram award winner.
About his role with the Bear Paw Roundup PRCA Rodeo, Halstead stated: "I look forward to being back this year for one of the funnest rodeos I worked last year."
Another sponsor of August 11, Skoyen Ag invites everyone to wear pink for Family Night when kids 12 and under get in free.
Patriot Night, August 12 is being sponsored by North 40 Outfitters. Rodeo-goers are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue to show their patriotic spirit.
