Northern C Divisional Features A Very Solid Field, 'Beeter Fans Will Pack the Gym

The Northern C Divisional gets underway this Thursday in the Floyd Bowen Gymnasium at Chinook High School. The 'Beeters are just coming off a spectacular run in Fort Benton last week in capturing the District 7C Championship. The big win has the 'Beeters entering the Northern C Divisional as the No. 1 Seed out of the District 7C.

In the first match of the Tournament Thursday morning at 9 am the 'Beeters will take on the District 6C No. 4 Seed Cascade Badgers. Also, in the top half of the bracket, the District No. 2 seed Simms Tigers will take on the District 7C No. 3 Seed Fort Benton Longhorns in match number two. The winners will then face each other later Thursday night.

The bottom half of the Bracket has the District 6C No.1 Seed Belt Huskies taking on the District 7C No.4 Seed Big Sandy Pioneers. The No. 2 7C Highwood Mountaineers will square off against the District 6C No. 3 Seed in the final match of the first round the winners will face each other in the final match of the day.

Heading into the Northern C Divisional it would be easy to say the 'Beeters, Mountaineers, Belt Huskies and Simms Tigers are the favorites, but this field is deep with talent and Volleyball is anything but a sure thing. Chinook does have a win over the Simms Tigers in a timed match in Fort Benton during the mid-season tournament. Belt defeated Simms in the District 6C Tournament 3-1 in both matches played between the teams.

The Northern C Divisional this year is strong top to bottom and any two of the eight teams has a chance to make it to the State C Volleyball Tournament in Bozeman, November 10-12. The tournament will take place at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on the campus of Montana State University.
