We've Got The County Covered
The Havre Trails organization will be hosting its 5th Annual Summer Brewfest in Pepin Park on August 26 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Personnel with Havre Trails invite people from across the Hi-Line to help them continue their trail work by supporting this fundraiser.
Promising dozens of Montana beers, ciders, wine, and seltzers for non-beer drinkers, the Havre Trails Brewfest will be selling tasting glasses and drink tickets.
Food will also be available from the Streatery, Chachi's Tacos, Parker's BBQ Pit, and The Stack.
About the event, a spokesperson for Havre Trails stated, "This is the fundraiser that lets us build new trails for you. Non-drinkers are welcome to come down to the park and enjoy the food and live music."
The Lucky Valentines (TLV) out of Fort Benton will be providing entertainment for the brewfest. According to their website, Shaun and Jamie Carrier have been "making sad things beautiful since 2009." The duo has written more than eighty songs which predominately feature "a mix of folk melodic sensibilities and tight harmonies." Their sound has been described as "Bruce Springsteen and Patty Griffin meet Shovels and Rope in a Gypsy Junkshop."
In April 2023, TLV released their newest album, Losses. Although it highlights grief, it also celebrates the connectivity of all things and the hope that comes through adversity. TLV describe the album as "a family of songs that explore sorrow and hope and the way these two huge emotions murmur through every moment of our lives."
Besides attending Brewfest, people are encouraged to assist Havre Trails in spreading the word about the event. "Invite your friends and share the event on your Facebook page. We especially need your help bringing in out of town visitors," say event organizers.
To assist with the event, Havre Trails is seeking volunteers. Brewfest volunteers receive an event t-shirt, glass, and drinks. Anyone interested should follow the link on the Havre Trails Facebook page to sign up by August 9.
