February is Love Your Library Month and I Love to Read Month! What better time to bring your children to the library to find some great books to read.
Don’t miss the virtual program “The Lentil Underground” which will be presented Thursday, February 15, 6:30 – 8:00 P.M. via Zoom. This presentation will cover Montana’s organic agriculture movement and pulse crop revolution from one of the farmers at the center of the story: David Oien, Founding Farmer of Timeless Seeds in Ulm. The Book Challenge for February is to read a book with a book on the cover. When you finish your book, contact the library to have your name entered into a drawing for a gift certificate from a local business.
The library will be closed Monday, February 19 in observance of Presidents’ Day.
Book Club members are reminded the new selection “The Music of Bees” by Eileen Garvin is available to be picked up. We are reading the entire book and discussing it on February 26, 4 P.M.

“Friends & Fun” (formally Socializing Seniors) is held each Wednesday in the library meeting room from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. This is a time to get together for great conversation, light snacks, games and fun! All adults are welcome. On February 21 Katrese Hammond will present a short session of chair yoga.
New selections to choose from for your reading pleasure include “The Heiress” by Rachel Hawkins. Camden is the adopted son of Ruby McTavish, North Carolina’s richest women, the victim of a famous kidnapping as a child and a widow four times over. When Ruby dies Camden and his wife are pulled back from the normal life they have establish wanting to have nothing to do with wealth or fame. They soon realize an inheritance can involve far more that what’s written in a will.
“The Mystery Guest” is by Nita Prose, bestselling author of “The Maid.” Molly Gray has moved up the ranks to become Head Maid of the Regency Grand Hotel. But her world is turned upside down when J.D. Grimthorpe, the renown mystery author, drops dead on the hotel’s tearoom floor. Children’s books we are featuring this week include “No Brainer” by Jeff Kinney, the 18th installment in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series . Can Greg Heffley and his classmates save their school before the town closes the crumbling building and hef must be separated from his best friend? A new picture book is “Mousie, I Will Read to You” by Rachael Cole and Melissa Crowton. This great read aloud celebrates families reading together.
