Area sports returns this weekend

The Holiday Break has come and gone, and that means winter sports will really start to heat up.

Basketball will be exciting from here until March, and the return of high school hoops starts this weekend.

The Chinook boys and girls basketball teams will play a pair of non-conference games, starting this Friday when the Sugarbeeters host former 9C rival Box Elder. Both teams welcome in another former 9C rival in Fort Benton this Saturday, while the Beeters will return to District 1B action Jan. 8 at home against Cut Bank.
