Harlem Improvement Committee Makes Progress

Since its formation this past April, the Harlem Improvement Committee (HIC) has been moving forward with some measure of success. Chair of the HIC, Darwin Zellmer shares an update.

“So far, we have succeeded in pushing the City of Harlem to encourage owners to take better care of their property. The rotting grain piles got cleared out, and community decay has also improved somewhat but needs a lot more attention. Although the dogs running at large is a continuing problem, some progress has been made on that front, as well.
