Livestock Sale Represents a Finished Project

In his eighth year as a member of the North Chinook Boosters 4-H Club, Beau Elias works a regular schedule with his steer Moose. An animal from Elias Ranch, Moose is a Black Baldy, which is a cross between a Hereford cow and an Angus bull in this case.

Beau's Market Steer Project began with weaning on October 25 last fall, although official weigh-ins for the project were conducted on January 4. The project requires daily care, health checks, feeding, and other management. This management not only includes training and handling but also record keeping and marketing.
