The Havre High volleyball team got exactly what it needed last weekend in Livingston: tons of varsity match experience.
The Ponies played five matches in two days against many of their Eastern A rivals as a new-look Havre team looks to build for the coming conference season.
Havre, of head coach Cassie Krueger, opened the tournament last Friday with a three-set loss to East Helena. The Ponies won the first set 25-18 and lost the second 9-25, before the Vigilantes finished the match with a 15-9 win in the third, as matches are shortened for preseason tournaments.
