Denise Helm, who spends summers in Landusky, took more than 1000 photos of the fire and aftermath. This photo, taken from the northeast end of Landusky, shows how the fire came right to the gravel road, and in some cases, jumped the road. The main part of Landusky is in the background of the photo.
