Shipwheel Cattle Company was selected to have a logo of the beef brand hand painted on their barn as part of the celebration. Shipwheel's brand was #22. The 40th brand logo will be painted on a barn in Ohio on October 18, the date the first cut of Certified Angus Beef ® was sold in 1978. Since then about 15 billion pounds of the quality beef has been purchased in the U.S. and 49 other countries.
