The Dole Plantation visitors' center, pictured here, is located on central Oahu island. At one time Dole had 30,000 acres in production for pineapples, making it the world's largest fruit producer in the early 2000's. Dole still has several hundred acres of pineapples it uses for tourism activities on the islands.
