Thomas Gosnah arrived at the Columbus Hospital in Great Falls sometime between summer, 1919 and spring, 1921. He suffered a crippling hip injury and could no longer work. The Providence Sisters took him in as a 'boarder' and he lived there until his death in 1964. The old hospital building, still standing at 1601 2nd Avenue N, is now a business center/office complex.
