Photos from: Iconic water tower is now a memory

This photo looks east from Stephens Road to the high point at Kuper Memorial Cemetery northwest of Chinook. A 5,000 gallon water tower, erected in 1927, was set atop a 40-foot steel structure located where the white vehicle is parked (arrow center of photo). To the south (right side of the photo) the top portion of the cemetery shop is visible. The water tower was installed to provide irrigation for the cemetery. It fell in to disuse more than 20 years ago per former cemetery workers.
