Photos from: Father's wish finally fulfilled by two sets of second generation descendants

One of Joe Havlovick's wishes was to visit the homestead on the Big Flat his family abandoned in 1933. He made a trip in 1985 and documented several locales he thought related to his family's homestead. His adult children later surmised their dad never found the homestead. They wanted to honor the wish of their dad and find the old home place. Alan VanVoast, a local on the Big Flat, now owns the land where the Havlovick's lived and helped Joe's adult children find the original homestead.
