Got Turkey? Don't miss the Community Thanksgiving Dinner

The annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner is scheduled for November 26 with a traditional Thanksgiving dinner being served from noon to 2 p.m. at the Chinook Senior Center.

The dinner is free of charge and donations of time, talent and money are very welcome to help cover the cost as well as assistance with the preparation of the food and clean up.

Take out dinners are provided for those who are physically unable to get to the senior center. Just call the Chinook Senior Center at 357-2648 or Jeanne at 357-2799 to leave your name, address and telephone number.

Specific areas of volunteer needs are: donations of homemade pies (pumpkin, apple, fruit), salads ( Jell-O-type, fruit, etc.), turkeys and/or money. Prep time and setup help needed for Wednesday afternoon from 2 to 7 p.m. and Thursday morning carving turkeys, mashing potatoes, etc. from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., as well as cleanup from 2 to 4 p.m.
