Veterans Day in Chinook: May we never forget freedom isn't free...

Members of Chinook Post 4620's Ladies Auxiliary draped the altar with the colors as part of the annual Veterans Day celebration held at the Chinook High School auditorium. Pictured left to right is Mary Lou West, Jackie Gunderson, Debbie Ramberg and Caroline Terry.

Chinook-area veterans were honored in a program held at the high school on Veterans Day. The program was hosted by Post 4620, Chinook's Veterans of Foreign Wars organization. Post Commander Ray Reid was the master of ceremonies for the annual event attended by junior and senior high students as well as the public. Perry Miller, also with Post 4620, assisted with the program. The program honored veterans through a number of presentations.

After presentation of the colors by the Chinook Police and the Blaine County Sheriff's departments, the attendees sang the "Star Spangled Banner" and recited...
