Frank gets his Elk!

Frank Barber, a life long resident of Blaine County and a landowner 40 miles south of Chinook in the Bear Paw Mountains, successfully filled his Bull Elk tag on the final Saturday of the season.

Frank had applied for a Land Owner Preference Elk Tag for several years and was finally granted one this season. When news of Frank's luck spread, several neighbors joined forces to ensure his hunt would be a great one.

Todd Ford, Merle Young, Pat Kellam and Brett Huestis, among others, would pass along sightings and glass mountainsides in an effort to locate the elk. Efforts had not proven successful...
