The Chinook Sugarbeeter girls basketball team continued their winning ways this past weekend at the Chester season opening tournament.

Thursday the girls opened the new season with a stiff test from a solid Great Falls Central Catholic team earning a hard fought 43-38 victory.

Saturday the team wasn’t challenged nearly as much as they cruised to a 43-21 win over the Dutton/Brady Diamondback to start 2-0.

Chinook trailed early but slowly chipped away at the Mustang lead before securing the win.
