LeValdo, Crantz complete Tribal Probation Academy

The Tribal Probation Class of 2016-17 included Walter Crantz and Geno LeValdo from Fort Belknap. The pair attended this years Academy at the National Criminal Justice Training Center (NCJTC) in Appleton, Wisconsin. The Tribal Probation Academy is a three-week training series that addresses urgent public safety needs in Indian Country. LeValdo is pictured in the back row, last individual on the right and is a Juvenile Probation Officer. Crantz is pictured in the back row, left of LeValdo and is an Adult Probation Officer.

Tribal probation officers representing numerous tribes throughout the United States came together, to complete the Tribal Probation Academy, a three-week training series that addresses urgent public safety needs in Indian Country. The training was held at the National Criminal Justice Training Center (NCJTC) in Appleton, Wisconsin.

During the Academy, officers learned evidence-based practices in community corrections, victim-centered approaches, restorative justice and peacemaking, substance abuse and other concerns.
