We have started a delivery list for the annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner this year. If you would like to be added to it, just call 357-2648 and give us your name, phone number, the delivery address and how many meals you would like. If you would like to volunteer for this event, we would be happy to give them your name.

There will be a funeral reception for Harry Friede at the senior center this Wednesday, Nov. 15 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The movie “A Time to Dance” will be still be shown in the library meeting room at 1 p.m. also on Wednesday. Refreshments will be provided. “The Monuments Men” will be shown next Wednesday and I heard it is outstanding. You won’t want to miss this one!

Our “Strong People” exercise class is on Thursday in the library meeting room at 10:30 a.m. Last week there were 7 seniors exercising with Lauren and Kendra as instructors. This is a free class for all seniors.


Bingo is played Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. Irene Gauthier and Frances Ewing won the Blackout last week.

On Friday, we will celebrate November Birthdays with a roast beef dinner and the Kitchen Band will play. We will have our bake raffle. Pinochle will be played after lunch. Pinochle winners last week were Don Duroscher and Lois Butcher. Marilyn Williamson had a 300 Pinochle.

Pool and cribbage will be played Monday afternoon.

The Cancer Support Group meets at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22 with special guest speaker Laura Shellman, from the Sweet Medical Center presenting “Cancer Prevention.” Please call ahead for reservations if you would like to join us for lunch.

Winners for the pinochle Party on Sunday were Virginia Olson – high, and Jack O’Brien – low. Having double pinochles were Ruth Brown and Virginia Olson. Shanghai Rummy is played every Tuesday afternoon. Clarice Morse won last week.

Whist will be played on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. Last week we had two tables playing with Mildred Dawson, Jack and Elisabeth O’Brien, Mike Randal, Amelia Funk, Lois Butcher, Frances Ewing, and Don Durocher. Jack O’Brien and Mildred Dawson were the big winners.

Stop by and see us at the center… the coffee is always on.!
