Children are encouraged to stop by the library this summer and take part in all the fun activities we have available. Keep those reading skills sharp over the summer. Join in the "Libraries Rock" Summer Reading Program. Prizes will be awarded for books read and you will have a chance to win a grand prize. Weekly summer reading programs are held for preschoolers and their parents/caregivers on Tuesdays and 10:00 A.M. and for students in grades K-6 on Thursdays at 1:00 P.M. Lego Club is held on Thursdays at the new time of 4:00 P.M.

Adults are invited to participate in the "Letter by Letter" game this summer. Stop by the library to pick up your game sheet and instructions. You may win a $50 gift card!

The library is hosting free Musical Movie Night each Thursday durat 5:00 P.M. during the month of June . This week's movie is "Coco" rated PG and lasting for 105 minutes. Preschoolers must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone is invited! Movies for the rest of the month are: June 14 - "Into the Woods," June 21 - "The Sound of Music," and June 28 - "Mary Poppins."

The June Book Challenge is to read a book that contains your passion. Are you a fisherman, quilter, artist, gardener, musician? Come and find a book that speaks to your passion!

New books this week include these nonfiction titles. "Hear My Heart: What I Would Say to You" by evangelist Billy Graham and those who knew him best; "A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership" by James Comey; and "Lady in Red: An Intimate Portrait of Nancy Reagan" by Sheila Tate.

Bestselling author Beverly Lewis has written "The Road Home." Lena Rose is leaving all that is familiar behind as she moves from Michigan to Lancaster County. She grieves over the death of her parents and the separation from her nine siblings hoping one day to return to all she loves. But she discovers Lancaster has charms of its own.

"The Cutting Edge" is the new Lincoln Rhyme novel by Jeffery Deaver. A brutal triple murder in Manhattan's Diamond District shocks the city. The killer, known as the Promisor, has left behind a half-million dollars' worth of diamonds at the scene. It is clear the killer's target is not diamonds, by engaged couples.

David Baldacci's latest novel is "The Fallen." The town of Baronville is a bleak place: a former mill town with a crumbling economy and a rampant opioid addiction. Four bizarre murders have taken place over the span of two weeks. Amos Decker and his FBI colleague Alex Jamison are visiting family when another murder occurs. This one hits too close to home for Decker. The string of deaths seem to be only a small piece of a larger scheme.
