The 4th Annual Tristan Billmayer Memorial Suicide Awareness Prevention Walk will be held this coming Sunday September 9th. Registration and breakfast will be at the Turner Legion Hall from 9-10:15 am. A short program at the Turner gym will follow. Busses will transport people to the St. Thomas Church, where the walk will begin and go back to Turner.

Chuck, Joely, and Josh Hiniker spent Thursday-Monday at the Ed Zellmer home visiting family.

On Thursday, Susan Billmayer was down to Harlem to help Pastor Ellen pack up to move to CA.

Dixie Roseleip was out from Billings on Sunday to attend the bridal shower of Meghan Johnson, future bride of her nephew, Aaron VanValkenburg. She and Sandy Beck attended the shower together.

On Thursday, Kathy Zellmer went to Havre and had lunch with granddaughter Melissa Hiniker.

Linda Hauge took Jane Krass to therapy in Chinook on Tuesday.

Susan Billmayer brought Emily home from Havre for the weekend on Friday.


The All-Parish council of the Lutheran Church met Sunday with the Bishop’s assistant in Harlem. Those from Hogeland attending were Susan and Gene Billmayer, Ed Zellmer, Loretta Beck, Sharon Goodrich, and Merrilyn Billmayer. After the meeting, Loretta, Merrilyn and Sharon took in the bridal shower for Meghan Johnson at the Catholic church hall in Hogeland.

A few from the Hogeland area attended the Harlem-Turner Volleyball games in Harlem on Saturday.

Morgan and Jessica Klindworth, and girls Eva and Emma, visited this weekend at the Duane Klindworth home. Nancy Mahns and Russ came out Monday to join them. Also there were Matt and Annie Klindworth and the kids.


Loren Keister spent this past week at the McGuires helping Frank and Ilona with Harvest.

Jerry Olszewski visited Wednesday morning at the Wally Beck home. In the afternoon, Loretta Beck attended Bobbi Becks 40th birthday party. That evening, family and friends gathered at Bobbi and Shawn Becks for a birthday supper for Wally and Bobbi, who celebrate birthdays on the same day.

Alex Billmayer and family, Connie Anderson, Tyler Anderson, Stephanie, Andre Dautsch and daughter had supper at Helen and Jim Billmayers on Saturday night.

Kevin Beck, Brandon and Dallas Beck, and Daniella Schilling were dinner guests at the Wally Beck home on Thursday.

Hilary and Natalie Richman and Diana Maloney visited Mom and Dad Krass on Sunday and did some yard work for them.

Loretta Beck and Nancy Snider cooked supper for the Beck harvest crew for a birthday supper for Shawn Beck Friday evening. Others there were Shawn, Bobbi and family, Levi Hawley, Ralph and Nancy Snider, Jim Jenks, and Wally and Loretta. Harley Jo also spent Friday afternoon at Wally and Loretta’s while Mom was combining. Tate and Ty popped in to visit during the afternoon too.

Linda Hauge, Anita and Brooke Reed, and Diana Maloney all stopped during the week to help out Mom and Dad.

Harvest is underway here in the area. The temperatures have cooled off some the past few days and one has to think fall is sneaking up on us. Lets hope the harvest gets finished before it rains or freezes.
