Stockgrowers to hold 5th Annual Meet & Greet

These are the members of the MSU-Northern Collegiate Stockgrowers that attended the Young Ag Leadership Conference in Billings from October 5-7. The members from back row left to right are Erika Anderson, Jeri Copenhaver, Kalen Adamson, Cordell Murray, Nick Hill, Parker Rapp, and Wade Schneider. The club uses the funds from the 5th Annual Meet and Greet to pay for leadership conferences, educating and advocating agriculture around the state, and aiding with costs from fencing in burned areas.

The Montana State University Northern Collegiate Stockgrowers and the North Central Montana Stockgrowers are holding their 5th Annual Meet and Greet this Saturday, November 10 at the Montana State University-Northern Student Union Building.

The day will begin with the North Central Montana Stockgrowers welcoming guests to their Annual Meeting being held on campus at Hensler Auditorium from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

This meeting will include multiple workshops and provide those in attendance with updates involving the organization and all members are encouraged to attend the meeting.

Beginning at 5:00 p.m. the MSU-Northern Collegiate Stockgrowers will welcome all to their 5th Annual Meet and Greet.

The event will begin with a 'Social Hour' followed by an introduction of members and a club update. Members include: Erika Anderson, Jeri Copenhaver, Kalen Adamson, Cordell Murray, Nick Hill, Parker Rapp, and Wade Schneider, Riley Mortenson, Stacie Cornell, Whitney Bahrns, Maryann Weder, and Brooke Trammell. A slide-show will also take place and door prizes will be drawn throughout the evening.


The event features a Prime Rib dinner, a Cash Bar, as well as a live and silent auction. Several items, donated by the club members as well as supporters of the organization will be included in the auctions.

The Keynote Speaker will be Riley Slivka an ag advocate who produces videos of different farming and ranching events around the state.

Following the dinner and auction the Plowed Under band will play, 'unplugged', providing the entertainment for the remainder of the evening.

The MSU-Northern Collegiate Stockgrowers represent the future of the industry and along with the North Central Stockgrowers look forward to a great day of informative meetings, workshops and of course, great food and entertainment.

Funds raised by the club are used to pay for leadership conferences as well as to educate and advocate for agriculture around the state.

Funds have also been allocated to be used to help with fencing costs that were affected by recent fires.
