60 play in All Class Reunion Golf Tournament

The top three teams in the 18 Hole Chinook High chool Golf Tournament each received custom made Surgarbeeter Trophys designed by Mick Hefflin and Kris Parsons. The winning team of Mike Seymour, Lane Seymour, Grant Tilleman and Brad Tillem shot a 31-35 66. In a tie for second was the team of Kendall Harwood, Chad Beck, Gabe Harry and Nicole Burkhartsmeyer fired a 34-33 77. Kody Farmer, Braden Eoff, Ethan MacLeod and Brent Schellin shot a 33-34 67 on the day.

The Chinook Golf Course had a fantastic day on Saturday, July 6th as it was home to the 2019 Chinook High School All-Class Reunion Golf Tournament. 15 teams and 60 golfers hit the links in what turned out to be a fabulous fundraiser for the course.

The weather was fantastic, the beer was cold and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. It was great to see all those who played in either the nine hole of 18 hole tournament.

Chrissy Downs and Blake Downs served the meal and the beer cart around the course. Dennis Downs smoked the pork for the wonderful sandwiches.

The 9 hole tournament featured six teams. In first was the team of Max Hofeldt, Mr. Jamieson, Cory Brothers and Dale Britt with a posted score of 30. The group recorded pars on the first three holes they played then drained 6 birdies in a row to record a 30. Dale Britt also won the Long Drive award, crushing his tee shot to within 150 yards on the long par 5 third hole.


At 3 under 33, was the team of Winston Anderson, Chris Haider, Taylor Nicholson and Chris Nicholson.

Mike Seymour won closest in two on Hole 1. On the par 3, hole 5, the closest to the pin prize listed a great shot of 24.5 inches from the pin, but Mike Seymour tucked one inside, 17.75 inches to win the prize. Hailey Graham won Womens Long Putt and Jeff Finley won the mens Long Putt.

Eight 2's were recorded on the day with the team of Harwood, Harry, Beck and Burkhartsmeyer recording back to back 2's on the back nine.

In the 18 hole tournament the quartet of Mike Seymour, Lane Seymour, Grant Tilleman and Brad Tilleman took home top honors. The group went out in 31, including a deuce on five. After lunch they shot a 35 on the back nine for a 18 hole score of 66.


In a tie for second was the team of Gabe Harry, Nicole Burhartsmeyer, Kendall Harwood and Chad Beck. The team shot a 34 on the front nine including an eagle on hole 3. On the Back nine the foursome recorded back to back birdies on hole four and five to post 33 coming in for a final round score of 67.

Also posting a 67 on the day was the group of Braden Eoff, Ethan MacLeod, Brent Schellin and Kody Farmer. They went out in 33 with a two on five and came in with a 34.
