Congratulations to Sekoya Messerly! To encourage continued participation at the Harlem Public Library for Summer Reading, after the children brought back their reading logs for the first time, they were entered into a drawing for a $15 gift certificate to The Buzz Zone. Sekoya was the lucky winner

The Harlem Library Board of Trustees meets today, July 24, 4 P.M. in the library meeting room.

Thanks to the Friends of the Library for hosting the "Hawaiian Get-Away" appreciation event. Thanks, also, to everyone who attended this fun evening.

The Summer Reading programs conclude this week. Congratulations to Sekoya Messerly who was the lucky winner of the gift certificate from the Buzz Zone. This drawing was to encourage children to participate in Summer Reading by returning their reading logs after signing up. Children have until August 9 to return their reading logs. Teens and adults have until Aug. 2 to notify the library of books read/listened to. Grand prizes winners will be drawn August 12.

The Book Challenge for July is to read a western novel. When you complete the challenge contact the library so your name can be entered into a drawing to win a gift certificate from a local business. The Book Challenge for August is to read a book with a question for the title.

The library is looking for Harlem High School memorabilia to have on display during the All Class Reunion Labor Day weekend. If you have items such as photos, yearbooks, awards, letter jackets, etc. please contact the library at 353-2712.
