Tiki Barber Broadcast Tonight in Hensler Auditorium

November 6, 2019

Former NFL star and CBS personality Atiim Kiambu "Tiki" Barber presentation tonight at Hensler Auditorium on the MSU-N Campus

The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) chapter advisers, Dr. Kris Bruckerhoff and Dr. Cristy Osburn of MSU-Northern (MSUN) invite anyone interested to tonight's speaker broadcast with Atiim Kiambu "Tiki" Barber. Hosted by the NSLS, the broadcast will occur on November 6 at 5:00 p.m. in Hensler Auditorium on the MSUN campus.

In this broadcast, Barber, a former football running back who played for the New York Giants of the National Football League for ten seasons, will provide insight on the importance of creating opportunities, being honest with yourself, and identifying when it's time to evolve and reinvent yourself.

Although Barber is perhaps best known for his time on the football field, he currently serves as co-host of CBS Sports Radio's "Tiki & Tierney," alongside New York Emmy winning broadcaster, Brandon Tierney. He is also a founding member of the Leadership Council for the Robin Hood Foundation, a front-line poverty fighting organization.

As a longtime advocate for the underserved, Barber is also a staunch supporter of literacy campaigns. He has co-authored, with his twin brother, Ronde, three children's books and eight young-adult novels.

Furthermore, with his wife, Traci, he has teamed up with KultureCity®, an autism acceptance and inclusion organization, to bring special sensory rooms to sporting and non-sporting venues to support young children with sensory issues and soldiers with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). KultureCity's Sensory Inclusive movement is striving to make public spaces like zoos, museums, and stadiums more Sensory Inclusive™ so that autistic individuals and individuals with sensory processing needs can enjoy and be included in these spaces.

The MSUN chapter of the NSLS encourages MSUN students and the entire community to take advantage of this unique opportunity. The final NSLS sponsored broadcast for this semester, Barber's program is being offered free of charge.
