Harlem Senior Center
January 8, 2020
I thought I would try something a little different starting this year. I would like to keep everyone up to date on the happenings here at the Center and Little Rockies Retirement Center. As the Director of the Harlem Senior Center I have three different hats to wear. First, is that I was hired by the Harlem Senior Center Board. With this job, one is to oversee many different areas. It’s like running three separate businesses under one roof. I am the Coordinator for the Congregate and Home Delivered Meals. With this business we can employee two cooks. Meals are prepared here in the kitchen. Meals are served from 12:00 noon until 12:30 p.m. Meals for anyone over 60 are a suggested price of $5.00. People under 60 who wish to eat here are asked to pay $6.00. Funding for this program are from the National Council on Aging as well as the local County. In order to ensure there is enough food for everyone wishing to eat here. We asked that people call or let us know the day before by 3:00 p.m. if they plan on eating with us. I hope to continue this section of the newsletter with information each week. Until next time, “It is what it is”.
January 14th: Foot Clinic 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Well then, have I got a deal for you. It’s quite simple, just go right to the Harlem Senior Center located in the Little Rockies Retirement Center! Right now, would be a great time to join the Harlem Senior Citizens. Membership is only $10.00. What a great way to start the 2020 year! We would love to see some new faces.
