White Pine 4H Files December Meeting minutes

The meeting of the White Pine 4H meeting at the library meeting room was called to order by president Mya Berreth with three leaders (Ashley Liddle, Jamie Berreth, and Bobbi Klingaman) and 19 members present ( Drake Berreth, Mya Berreth, Heyden Berreth, Kyra Berreth, Charlie Buck, Grace Buck, Gus Buck, Claire Buck, Micah Conner, Abigail Danley, Laura Danley, Evan Davies, Owen Davies, Emma Klingaman, Ethan Klingaman, Jenna Liddle, Sydney Liddle, Cassidy Liddle Zoe Scofiled) Also present were Emily Scofield, Amanda Davies, and Wylee Brown.
The American pledge was led by Laura Danley and 4H pledge by Drake Berreth. Roll call was, “What are you doing this year in 4H?”
The minutes from the October meeting were read and approved as read. Ethan Klingaman made the motion and Hayden Berreth second the motion.
The treasurer’s report was not available at this meeting as the treasurer was not present. No bills were presented. Leaders fees are due and we have three leaders. (Bobbi Klingaman, Ashley Liddle, Jamie Berreth)
Drake Berreth reported on the 4H achievement night and his 7 years in 4H. He enjoyed the soup. Emma Klingaman reported on receiving the herdsman ship award for her beefing breeding project.
No other reports were given.
Under old business we discussed that we need to get talks and demonstrations both completed every year. It was agreed that if you were hosting the meeting you would do your talk and/or demonstration at that meeting. We worked on setting goals for 4H projects in record books. The extension office is providing project books this year. You have to let them know what books you need. You can pick them up at the office.
Under New business we discussed that 4H passports will be handed out this year and members will get a stamp for each county activity they attend.
Wylee Brown was a guest speaker. She discussed her involvement in the Speech and Drama in school and gave her humorous rendition of Ken Bradberry’s, A Wolf Tale. Following her performance, we exchanged Christmas gifts and enjoyed a pot luck.
Owen Davies motioned to adjourn the meeting. The Next meeting will be January 16th at 5:30 in the Meadowlark cafeteria.
