February is Love Your Library Month! Show your love by stopping by the library to take advantage of all the services we offer: children’s programs, book clubs, free Wi-Fi, patron computers, great new books, children’s playspace, magazines and newspapers, DVDS, coffee bar and more! This month’s passive program is “Color Like You Mean It.” Stop by to color a heart that we will make into a Love Your Library quilt.

Book Club members may pick up the new selection “Little Fires Everywhere” by Celest Ng this week. The first discussion will be Monday, February 10 at 4 P.M.

The Online Book Club is reading “The Institute” by Stephen King. You may join on our Facebook page.

New books this week include “When Life Gives You Pears: The Healing Power of Family, Faith and Funny People” by Jeannie Gaffigan. The author, wife of comedian Jim Gaffigan, “writes with humor and heart about the pear-sized brain tumor she had removed, the toll it took on her enormous family, and the priceless lessons she learned along the way.”

Kassandra Montag is the writer of “After the Flood.” More than a hundred years from now rising floodwaters have obliterated coastal cities and the heartland, leaving nothing but mountaintop colonies surrounded by water. Myra and her seven-year-old daughter, Pearl, fish from their boat and only visit dry land for supplies and information. Myra still grieves the loss of her older daughter, Row, who was stolen by her father. When Myra learns Row has been seen near the Arctic Circle she and Pearl make the dangerous voyage hoping to find Row.

“The Confession Club” is by Elizabeth Berg. Funny and heartwarming, this novel tells of a group of women in Mason, Missouri, who decide to start a monthly supper club. When one of the women reveals something startling intimate the club turns into the Confession Club.

A new Spenser novel by Ace Atkins is “Robert B. Parker’s Angel Eyes.” Gabby Leggett left Boston to make it big in Hollywood. When she goes missing her mother hires PI Spenser to find her. What he does find is the trail that leads to a powerful mob boss, the Armenian mob, and a group that might be a dangerous cult.

“Ribbons of Scarlet” is a novel that tells the stories of six unforgettable women whose paths cross during the French Revolution. Six bestselling authors “bring to life this epic novel.”

Other new titles include a new No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency novel “To the Land of Long Lost Friends” by Alexander McCall Smith, “Kiss the Girls and Make Them Cry” by Mary Higgins Clark, and “Code of Honor” by Tom Clancy.
