The library now has an iPad available for checkout to registered patrons in good standing for at least one month. Users must be at least 18 years of age and sign a lender agreement. This device may be checked out for fourteen days. This iPad was made available from Montana State Library through the Cares Act and the Governor’s Relief Funds.

Join Carly for Virtual Story Time every Tuesday at 10 A.M. on Facebook Live. This is a time of stories, fingerplays and songs for children ages 0-5. Make sure to like Harlem Public Library’s Facebook page so you are able to watch.

Now that the temperature has taken a downward turn, it’s a great time to cozy up with a new book.

“Muzzled” is the latest Andy Carpenter Mystery by David Rosenfelt. Andy has agreed to help his friend and fellow dog-lover, Beth Morris, to find the owners of stray dogs. One of her current strays belonged to a murder victim who has contacted her and wants his dog back.

Riley Sager is the author of “Home Before Dark.” Maggie Holt and her family moved into Baneberry Hall twenty-five years ago. They spent twenty days there before fleeing in the dead of night. Maggie’s father told the tale of the ghostly happenings in the horror memoir “House of Horrors.” Now she has inherited Baneberry Hall in intends to renovate and sell it. When she starts to experience occurrences straight from her father’s book, she wonders if what he wrote was more fact than fiction.

“No Offense” is new novel by Meg Cabot. Molly Montgomery has moved to Little Bridge Island in the Florida Keys to head the children’s services in the public library and to forget a broken engagement. What she hopes will be a less messy existence takes a turn when a newborn is left in the library restroom. Adding more complications is John Harwell, the sheriff who comes to investigate.

A new science fiction series is “Earthsinger Chronicles” by L. Penelope. The three installments include “Song of Blood and Stone,” “Whispers of Shadow and Flame,” and “Cry of Metal and Bone.”

Two new nonfiction selections are “Grant Writing for Dummies” by Beverly A. Browning and “The Lakota Way” by Joseph M. Marshall III.

If you are ready for a thriller pick up “He Started It” by Samantha Downing or “Malorie” by Josh Malerman, a sequel to “Bird Box.”

The Book Club meets via Skype Mondays at 4 P.M. We are currently reading “The Invention of Wings” by Sue Monk Kidd.

The library will be closed November 17 and 18 for staff training.
