Harlem Library

November 25, 2020

The library will be closed Thanksgiving Day; but we will be open Friday, November 27, our regular hours from 9:00-2:00.

The Book Challenge for November is to read a book about politics or government, either fiction or nonfiction. We have a selection of titles on display for you to choose from. The Book Challenge for December is to read a book on a library display.

The library staff would like to remind you that we are doing everything we can to keep the library safe for our patrons at this time. Please be considerate: Masks are required, use good hygiene, and practice social distancing. Each patron has a limit of 30 minutes in the library per day with another 30 minutes allowed if needed to complete job or unemployment applications, conduct other business, or for educational purposes. The meeting room is not available and there is no in-person programming. For those people who do not wish to follow these guidelines or do not feel safe entering the building we are happy to provide curbside service. We continue to sanitize and quarantined all returned materials and to sanitize all surfaces as needed. Thank you for your cooperation.

Virtual Story Time is held each Tuesday at 10 A.M. via Facebook Live. Be sure to like the Harlem Public Library’s Facebook page so you are able to watch,

Borrow wireless devices at your library. The library has mobile hotspots and iPads to check out with your library card. You must be an established user in good standing for at least 30 days and be 18 years or older. Please note the iPads do not come with wi-fi, so if you do not have access to the internet, you will also need to check out a hotspot.

The Friends of the Library would like to remind you dues may be paid at this time for returning or new members. Annual dues are $10 and may be dropped off at the library or sent to Valerie VanVoast, PO Box 172, Turner, MT 59542. The annual Wine and Cheese Fundraiser will not be held this year due to the pandemic. The Friends would like your input for fund raising ideas adaptable to the COVID-19 guidelines. Please call co-chairs Shirley Brockie 353 2716 or Sally O’Leary 353-2339 with your ideas.
