Chinook Boosters

During the month of October, North Chinook Boosters did a couple things. The first was a window display for National 4-H Week. The theme was “Opportunity 4 All,” and our display was at Lodestar Land and Home. The Club put together a display with pictures of the members with their 4-H projects.

During the month of October, we also had our first 4-H meeting of the year. During the meeting, we had officer elections. Gracie Skoyen is the President, Lynley Conrad is the Vice President, Kaylie Skoyen is the Secretary, Lillie Skoyen is the Reporter, Piper Skoyen, Evan Powell, Richard Conrad, and Conner Bowles are the Historians, and Janna Snedigar and Saraya Jones are the Recreational Leaders.

The next meeting will be in the month of November and the Club will hold a virtual Achievement Night and eat traveling tacos.

Big Flat

Our 4-H meeting was on Sunday, November 15, 2020. Before our meeting we met at the Van Voast house to work on fixing the Christmas lights for the town of Turner. Then we Facetimed with Mrs. Amy Egbert. She spoke to our club about her time serving in the Army. Mrs. Egbert told us about when she and her husband were in Iraq in 2004. Then we went to the Turner Christian Church for our meeting. Isabella Van Voast led the 4-H pledge and Hudson Simons led the Pledge of Allegiance. We talked about Achievement Night snacks. We also talked about 4-H events coming up we can go to like steer weighing and new family orientation. After the meeting Mr. Don Richman talked to us about his time serving in the Army during the Vietnam War. He also showed us pictures and his uniform. We asked Mr. Richman some questions and then we had a potluck.
