Steve & Sherry Edwards, Community Get Together For Book Signing

December 23, 2020

Friday afternoon, The Blaine County Journal ~ News Opinion hosted a book signing for our very own Steve Edwards. Steve really enjoyed visiting with folk and signed a number of books for a steady line of people looking to pick up a copy.

This past Friday our very own Steve Edwards, and several members of the community, came together to visit, reflect and celebrate 'Notes From The Sweet Grass Hills'.

After writing his first story for the Blaine County Journal ~ News Opinion back in January of 2014, Steve went on to write hundreds more for the publication.

Steve's style of writing so enamored the community, that when it came to be that he and his wife Sherry would be relocating to the Sweet Grass Hills, arrangements needed to be made for readers to still enjoy his storytelling.

Journal owners Keith and Keri Hanson suggested to Steve that he continue sending in articles about his experiences in the Sweet Grass Hills and he readily agreed.

In the end Steve submitted 48 articles for publication in the Blaine County Journal. After returning back to Chinook, some discussions took place and Steve decided to put together a collection of stories to be published as his first book.

Keith and Keri were immediately on board and soon 27 stories that Steve felt best represented what it is like to live in the Sweet Grass Hills were put together in book form.

Friday Steve, along with the Blaine County Journal invited the community into the store for a book signing and an opportunity to visit with Steve the writer and his wife Sherry.

Steve and Sherry were grateful for the support, "I enjoyed visiting with the people that stopped in for the signing and sharing some stories with us from our time in Chinook. Overall I was happy with the turnout."
