Harlem Elementary Announces Awards

Harlem Elementary has not only selected their January ROARing Teachers of the Month but awarded several students who have distinguished themselves with their Respectful, Organized, Always safe, and Responsible behavior.

According to school officials, kindergarten teacher, Mr. John Orsborn and fourth grade instructor, Mrs. Nancy Kinyon have continued to show the resilience and flexibility needed to stay abreast of the ever changing requirements of this unconventional school year. For these reasons, they were named Teachers of the Month.

Nominating materials stated that the two teachers are "always ready to lend a hand" and "to go the extra mile." To celebrate their distinction, Orsborn and Kinyon each received a gift card to Domino's Pizza.

Harlem Elementary also rewarded several ROARing students. From the in-school student group, second grader Henry Carrywater, third grader Braden Horn, and sixth grader Kyle Hudon will join the "Rockin' ROAR Roster" for the first week of February.

In addition, school officials have selected second grader Rain Janis as the remote ROAR student of the week.

For the last week of January, kindergartener Laylai Main, fourth grader Cayl Adams, and fifth grader Jeremiah Brockie were named "Remarkable Roaring In-School Students." Furthermore, first grader Chaska Earthboy was chosen as the Remote ROARing Student of that week.
