The District 9C regular season concluded this past weekend with a flurry of games being played. In an effort to get as many rescheduled contest played with respect to tournament seeding, games were played nearly every day. The District 9C Tournament got started Tuesday, February 16 at the higher seeded school. Full tournament results will be included in next weeks paper.

The Turner Tornadoes (10-3), earned the No. 2 seed entering the tournament. Turner completed their regular season with a 61-52 win at home Tuesday night over the North Star Knights. Friday Turner easily dispatched Big Sandy 64-30 before falling to the North Star Knights in Gildford Saturday night, 47-42. The Tornadoes began the District 9C Tournament at home versus the Chester/Joplin-Inverness Hawks.

The Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds (5-8) earned the No. 5 seed entering the District 9C Tournament. Hays/Lodge Pole closed out the regular season with a 71-35 set back Tuesday night at home against the Box Elder Bears. Friday the girls headed to Box Elder where they fell 50-38. Saturday the Thunderbirds finished their regular season with a 71-28 thumping of the Big Sandy Pioneers. Hays/Lodge Pole began the District 9C Tournament in Box Elder against the Bears.

The Chinook Sugarbeeters (5-9) will take the District 9C No. 6 seed into the tournament. The Sugarbeeters closed out the season at home Friday night with a tough 61-41 setback to the No. 3 seeded North Star Knights. Saturday Chinook concluded the regular season in Fort Benton versus the undefeated and No. 1 seeded Longhorns. Chinook fell in the contest 74-23. The 'Beeters began the District 9C Tournament in Gildford against the No.3 seed North Star Knights.

The regular season is still winding down for the Harlem Lady Cats and with the District 2B Tournament set to take place at Poplar High School February 25-27, they are looking to finish strong. Harlem began the week with a 61-55 win over the Poplar Indians on Tuesday. The Lady Cats were at home Friday night where they fell to the Glasgow Scotties 79-33. Saturday the girls were in Malta where the M-ettes claimed a 73-46 win. Harlem closes out the regular season with road games in Wolf Point on Thursday and Poplar on Saturday.
