March Happenings at the Sweet Home

April 14, 2021

March had it all at the Sweet Memorial Nursing Home. It began with a little more freedom as visitation was expanded. We had a great St. Patrick's Day Celebration. Followed that up with a Taco Fiesta and Concluded with a week packed full of fun as the 2021 Sweet Home Olympic Games were held!. A ton of fun was had by all, and winners were ceremoniously crowned!

The Residents are certainly getting back into the flow of things more and more each day. Attendance at the morning Activity has steadily increased week after week. The afternoon Activity has done very well also, but in doing so, the residents are working hard and sometimes a nap might take the place. Some fun had in March included Wheel Chair Exercises and Country Drives. The Bowling was a hit during Olympic week and getting your hair done puts a smile on anyones face.

With each new week there seems to be more and more interest among the residents in participating in activities at the Sweet Home. Could be a combination of warmer weather and the arrival of spring, as well as the loosening of some restrictions and increased visitations from family and friends. Whatever it may be, it sure has been nice to see. The dining room has been consistently full. Morning activities have seen more participation, especially Bingo. Afternoon activities have been well attended and the Sweet Home Olympics were a hit. The end of the month Resident Birthday Party and the return of the Kitchen Band saw nearly half the Census attend. Overall I'd say that with the way March ended we are in store for a fantastic April!
