SPRING SNOW ON THE BIG FLAT

April 21, 2021

After much needed moisture, the Big Flat received a bit in the form of wet snow this past week. As of this Sunday, another spring storm came through dropping a bit more. One would say April showers make good grain, but most farmers and ranchers in the area are saying, "We'll take whatever we can get, in whatever form we can get!" At school, the younger kiddos were happy to have one last fling with the snow, and make some snowmen and run and play in it. They will be happy to get back to school on Monday and recollect what had been melted over the weekend and find a fresh supply. These students are first and second graders and are always happy to be front and center to a camera. They are L-R: Ben Warren, Cooper Grabofsky, Auzdyn King, Mary Simons, Rhett Ammen and in front, Isley Welsh. Judging on their snowsuits, the snow was great moisture. The children were soaked!
