Harlem Library

Summer Reading is in full swing! Story Time in the Park is held every Tuesday at 10 A.M. for children accompanied by a parent/guardian. Bring a blanket to sit on. Check out the Story Walk in the city park. The next Sidewalk STEAM for elementary students will be June 16, 1 P.M. outside the library. Children are invited to register for summer reading at the library and adopt a stuffed animal friend! They must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Teens and adults may participate by entering a drawing for each book read to win a $50 gift card. The June Book Challenge is to read a book set in the summer.

Harlem Food Bank

The Harlem Food Bank has been open for some time now and we are looking for clients to come and be served. We have plenty of food and are ready to give it to those in need. Thank you. Jack L. Siemens, Manager.

Zurich All Class Reunion

The planning committee for a Zurich Elementary School All-Class Reunion is hoping for a celebration in 2022, and they need additional help! Anyone interested in lending a hand with mailings, organizing memorabilia, planning meals, coordinating games/activities for the younger crowd, assisting at registration, or simply helping out in another way should contract Betty Billmayer by calling at 357-4100.

Mobile Hotspots and iPads available for checkout. Story Walk at the Meadowlark Monday and Thursday 11:30-1:00. Beat the Heat Movie Mondays at 1:30. Hangout for grades 7 & 8 Mondays at 3:00, Traditional Story Time Tuesdays at 10:30, Summer Reading Program Tuesdays at 1:30, Hangout for grades 5 & 6 Tuesdays at 3:00 and LEGO/STEAM Club for grades K and up Thursdays at 3:30.

Chinook Golf Course

Save the Date! Chinook Community Dinner/Auction, to support the Chinook Golf Course is Saturday, June 26, 2021. Plowed Under will be playing this year.

Cemetery Board Meeting

The Chinook Cemetery Board meeting will be June 24, 2021 in the EOC room at the courthouse.
