A good crowd was on hand for the Annual Chinook Golf Course Community Dinner and Auction, Saturday, June 26, 2021.

The Chinook Golf and Country Club held its annual Community Dinner and Auction on Saturday, June 26 at the Blaine County Fairgrounds. The evening festivities included a BBQ Baby-back Rib Dinner cooked by Kris Parsons and Travis Schwindt.

More than 110 meals were served at the fairgrounds and 15-20 more through take out and delivery. Kevin Elias again was masterful as both Auctioneer and entertainer as he went through the long list of items donated by so many supporters of the course.

Ginger Hansen has always done an exceptional job organizing the event. Along with her dedicated set up crew, kitchen staff and wonderful bakers that helped prepare and round out the dinner, the event was a huge success. The Plowed Under Band capped off the evening festivities.

Funds raised will be put to good use at the Chinook Golf Course and its impact is very visible to anyone who plays a round at the course.

In addition the course holds a number of tournaments throughout the summer to help generate revenue as well. The 27 Hole Triple Play Tournament was held the end of June and featured 20 teams.

The Maurice Harshman Tournament will be played this Saturday with a full field of 27 teams on hand. July 30 the course will hold a fund raising tournament for the Chinook High School Football and Golf Teams. Details for this tournament are still being worked out and will be posted on the golf course Facebook page when available. Posters will be printed as well.

The 26th Annual Fireball Tournament is the biggest tournament of the season and will be played, Saturday August 21, 2021
