The library is hosting the program “1000 Books Before Kindergarten.” Parents are invited to register their preschool children and log the number of books read together. The child will be given a free board book when they register and prizes will be awarded when they reach 500 and 1000 books. Contact the library to learn more about this program.

If the situation permits, the library will begin in-person programming in September. Watch our Facebook page and website for information concerning dates and times for Story Hour, After School Squad, and Lego Club. The Book Club will read “The Return” by Nicholas Sparks. You may pick up your copy September 7-10 with the first discussion September 13, 4 P.M.

Mark your calendars for the “Harlem Rocks!” painting party on September 16 from noon to 6 P.M. “Harlem Rocks!” is a community activity where rocks are collected and painted with positive designs and/or encouraging messages. These rocks are then passed on to others to keep or to pass on to another person. If you would like to collect rocks for the library to use that would be appreciated. Watch for more information!
