Sis Nace

Sis Nace, 76 of Billings passed away August 22 due to Covid pneumonia.

Sis was born Jan. 13, 1945 to Ralph and Minerva (Wilcox) Nace in Great Falls, MT and joined a big brother, Bill at home. She attended school in Hogeland and Harlem.

Sis married Ralph Snider on June 30, 1962 and together they had four children; Lisa, Jay, Kathy and Julie. They later divorced.

Sis worked many years as a bank teller in Harlem and then at the Vet Clinic in Roundup for Doc Arthur. She drove truck for Corcoran Trucking and was able to see many places in her travels. Before retirement, she worked at Tractor Supply in Billings, making many friends with customers and co­ workers. Except for briefly living at the Nace Ranch to help care for her parents, she made her home in Billings.

Sis traveled all over the U.S. to see her kids, grand and great-grandkids. She loved attending all of their sporting events and school functions. She most recently flew to South Carolina to attend her grandson Cody's graduation from Basic Training at Fort Jackson. If you asked her, she'd tell you her most important job was that as "Mom, Gram, and Gramma Great". She loved her family and friends fiercely and was the best "Aunt Sis". She never hesitated to drop everything and come cook for a branding/farming/or harvesting crew or take care of the grandkids.

Sis is survived by her children: Lisa (Frank) Baldik-cosmetologist/farm/rancher of Harlem; Jay (Bette Jo) Snider-farm/rancher of Hogeland; Kathy (Daryn) Cederberg-registered nurse/rancher of Three Forks; and Julie (Kurt) Welsh-farm/rancher of Turner.

Grandchildren: Mandy (Dustin) Schmidt-Sonographer of Kila; Kale (Alexandra Bold) Baldik­ supervisor/machinist at Spika Design of Lewistown; Mary Beth Baldik-LPN of Billings; Zachary (Bre) Snider-Construction of Belgrade; Lacie (Trent Streeter) Snider-Art teacher of Ryegate; Lane Snider­ student/rancher of Hogeland; Dallas (Kimberly)Cederberg-Nabors Oil Drilling of Miles City; Samantha (Brian) Bignell-Registered Nurse of Avon; Dylan Welsh-farm/rancher of Turner; Cody Welsh­ student/Nat'I Guard of Billings; Austin Welsh-Huntley Feeders of Billings; and Isley Welsh of Turner.

Great Grandchildren: Maraea Schmidt, Haven Snider, Kaylee, Madison, and Riley Cederberg, Kase and Collins Bignell.

Special Nieces and Nephews: Brandi (Ross) Lien of Glendive, Tucker, Tanner and Tyler; Lynn (Byron) Stulc of Glasgow, Wyatt, Aspen, Cash, Holden, and Teague; RD Nace of Turner; Collin Nace of Austin, TX; Cailee Nace of Nashville, TN; Sandy Nace of Great Falls; Challis (Mary) Nace of Wright, WY, Rebecca and Reece; Nicholas Nace of Billings.

She had numerous cousins and friends who will also miss her dearly. Sis was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Minerva, brother Bill, and special nephew, Shane Nace.

Wilderness Funeral Home of Chinook is in charge of arrangements. A Graveside service will be held on September 11, 2021 at 11:00am at the wing Cemetery in Hogeland MT. Burial will be in the Wing Cemetery at Hogeland. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to the Big Flat Community Grain Bin or a charity of your choice.
