Donna Brandon Murphy, age 94, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2022 with her children by her side.

She was born October 22, 1927 in Chinook, Montana to Jesse Levi Brandon and Sarah Anne Stanger Brandon.

She was born and raised in Chinook and graduated from Chinook High School in 1945. After high school, she worked at the dime store in Chinook when she met the love of her life, Guy Murphy. They were married March 4th 1951. They settled on the farm in Harlem MT and were blessed with 6 children. They lived there till 1981 when they sold the farm and moved to Kalispell.

Donna was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was always making sure that everyone had everything they needed and then some. She never sat down. She was an excellent cook and was famous to her family for her pies. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband Guy, her parents and her siblings, Ray, Ada, Jesse, Blanche and Ruth. Along with her brother-in-law Ronnie and daughter in law Kari.

She is survived by her children and spouses, David (Joanne) Murphy, Lee (Terry) Murphy, Peggy (Calvin) Kanning, Jesse (Connie) Murphy, Bonnie Helland and Tim (Michelle) Murphy. Grandchildren Tasha Hines, Clinton Belden, Guyla Adams, Tonya Garber, Randele Albers, John Kanning, Brandon Kanning, Kaylynn Kanning, Amanda Jackson, Adam Murphy, Crystal Stepper, Nathaniel Helland, Anika Murphy and Alex Murphy. 32 great grandchildren, and 4 ½ great great grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 6, 2022, at Kuper Memorial Cemetery in Chinook. A reception followed at the Chinook Senior Center.
