Montana 4-H Announces Field Day

June 15, 2022

On Thursday, June 23, agriculture industry specialists and Montana State University—Northern (MSUN) faculty members will be presenting a free event at the MSUN Agricultural Research Station at 3710 Assinniboine Road, near Havre. Sponsored by Montana 4-H, the Field Day will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. for the youth and begin at 3:00 p.m. for the adults. Some of those in attendance will represent Blaine County 4-H.

According to MSU Blaine County Ag, Natural Resources & 4-H Extension Agent, Juli Snedigar, young people do not need to be enrolled in 4-H to attend the Field Day events. Youth from ages 8-19 are welcome to participate. Interested individuals can register online at https://4h.zsuite.org/external-event-registration/13973.

For the adult portion of the Field Day, registration begins at 3:00 p.m. with the first farm tour beginning at 4:00 p.m. A second tour will follow at 5:30 p.m., and dinner will be served at 7:15 p.m. with departure for home slated for 8:30 p.m.

Information received by Snedigar indicates that the 4-H Ag and Natural Resources Specialist out of Bozeman is coordinating the efforts of the youth Field Day events to coordinate with the afternoon and evening events conducted by the Northern Agricultural Research Center (NARC). Snedigar will be onsite all day helping with various workshops and then assisting the NARC staff with their tours and evening programming.

Any producer desiring additional information about the tours is encouraged to call the NARC office at 406-265-6115.
