Harlem Library

This is the final week of Summer Reading. The last day to report reading numbers to the library is Friday, July 22. Thanks to everyone who has participated. There will be no children’s programs until fall. The Book Challenge for July is to read a book featuring a baby. The library board will meet July 27, 4:15 in the meeting room.

Blaine County Museum

We have extended our summer season! We will be open seven days a week from 9-5 through the first weekend in October.

Blaine County Library

Mondays Beat the Heat movies 1:30, and Hangout for grades 7 & 8 at 3:30. Tuesdays 10:30 Story Time for ages 6 and under, 1:30 Summer Reading Program, and Hangout for grades 5 & 6 at 3:30. Wednesdays Story Walk at the pool 3:00. Teen Scene 5:00-7:00 every other Wednesday. Thursdays LEGO/STEAM Club at 3:30 p.m. Monday July 25th movie will be Back to Sea Monsters. Library Board of Trustees meeting Monday July 25th at 4:30 p.m.


Harlem High School

Class Reunion

Plans are being made for a 50th year class reunion for the Harlem High School class of 1972 to be held at Zurich Park September 3rd and 4th. If you’d like to attend, get ahold of Ede Breitmeier at (406) 344-0078 or Betty Billmayer at 406-390-4935. Please spread the word to any classmates that you are in touch with.

Transportation Meeting

The annual County Transportation Committee Meeting will be held on Thursday, July 21st at 9:30 am. The meeting will take place in the EOC room on the second floor of the Blaine County Courthouse. The purpose of this meeting is to approve all bus routes within the county as well as isolated individual transportation contracts for the 2022-23 school year.

Blaine County Airport Commission July Meeting

The JULY meeting for the Blaine County Airport Commission Board will be held Monday, JULY 25, 2022, 4:00 p.m. at the Chinook Airport.

Farewell for YAV’s

A farewell cookout for this year’s Young Adult Volunteers will be held Sunday, July 24, at 6pm in Sweet Park in Chinook. Dogs and burgers will be provided and guests are asked to bring a picnic side dish. Come and celebrate Emma Kate and Brenden’s year of service in our community.

Chinook Senior Center

The Chinook Senior Center Board will be hosting a birthday party for all Senior people whose birthdays are in July. The party will be the last Friday of July. July 29, 2022 at 12 Noon. Call Ben Hall (406) 357-3277 by Wednesday, July 27th for a place at the Birthday Table.
