The Summer Reading Program is officially over! Hours have been counted and prizes have been drawn. Katherine Kropf was the winner of the Pre K– Kindergarten Prize, Jorie Miller was the winner of the water guns, Cynnlock Gibson was the winner of the laser tag game, Maddie was the winner of the LEGO set, and Pepper Harwood was the winner of the water slide. Aubrey was the winner of the young adult prize and Ellen Savage was the winner of the adult prize. Dax Langford was the top reader this year with a whopping 74 hours of reading. He was the winner of the after-hours pizza party. Congratulations to all the winners.

Fall programs will begin with LEGO/STEAM Club Thursday September 1st at 3:30 p.m.

We have several thrillers available this week. “Point Last Seen” by Christina Dodd will keep you on the edge of your seat to the end. “The Murder Book” by Mark Billingham finds Tom Thorne settling into a newly content existence, but a spate of brutal murders sets him off on an investigation that may just shatter every happiness he has built. “The Last to Vanish” by Meagan Miranda opens with the disappearance of a journalist who is investigating a string of vanishings in the resort town of Cutter’s Pass—will its dark secrets finally be revealed?

We have two romances ready for checkout. “Sugar and Salt” by Susan Wiggs is a tale of friendship, hardship, redemption, and love between a San Francisco baker and a barbecue master from Texas. When a woman alone in the world bravely chooses to open her heart, two lost souls have a new chance at belonging, in “The Best is Yet to Come” by Debbie Macomber.
